We are committed to providing quality training opportunities throughout the city communities and to develop new programmes and ideas to further enhance our training programmes.
We work with Housing Association partners, the City Council, Construction Skills, National Apprenticeship Services (NAS), Funding Skills Agency, Adult Learning Services and other partners. We currently offer the following training opportunities:
- Pre-apprenticeship training in construction
- Construction apprenticeships
- Through Future Jobs
- Administration
- Catering
- Teaching Assistants
- Construction and Environmental opportunities
- Security
- ICT
- Sports
- and, with our partners – Alt Valley Community Trust, a wide range of vocational training opportunities for 14-19 year olds.
Since 2002 we have trained and employed 68 Apprentices and provided training opportunities to over 1,000 people and are currently providing training opportunities through Future Jobs.
Future Jobs
We operated a Future Jobs contract on behalf of Liverpool City Council and the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP). The contract started in September 2009 and is ran for 18 months. Our contract was to employ approximately 800 beneficiaries on 6 month placements over the 18 month period.
We provided 510 work placements for the programme with the rest of the beneficiaries being placed with voluntary and community organisations identified by us.
